There are hardly any celebrities or really successful people who have acheived a lot without writing a journal. Keeping a journal helps you become more aware of what you are doing on a daily basis and what direction your life is taking.

Furthermore, you can use specific journals for a limited amount of time if you have specific goals you want to achieve. One idea is to keep a food-journal to help you keep track of what you are eating until you have reached your ideal weight. Another idea is to keep an expenses-journal for a few months until you have become more disciplined with your expenses.
