Lesson 18: Tricky Health Issues

Although Healfi prefers to focus on health rather than disease, we have decided to include this special lesson about some tricky health issues to:

  • Stretch your mind to think about "impossible" questions the Healfi way, and
  • ask for your help to resolve them.

Healfi has not answers to everything, but is convinced that if enough people ask themselves the right kind of questions and take the "nothing is impossible" adage more seriously, then we will soon find answers to the tricky health issues listed below.

We have not done any specific research on the issues below and we are convinced that you can find plenty of more clues just by spending some time on the Internet.

A) Wheelchair

If you do some research on the Internet, you will find several stories of people who were doomed by doctors that they would never walk again. But they walk today.

Healfi is convinced that if only one person manages "a miracle", it means that it is not impossible and that other people just need to believe in it and put on their detective cap until they find the trick.

B) Blindness, Deafness, Dumbness

Like for any other disease, Healfi's approach is to try and find out the underlying causes: what can have caused the persone to become blind, deaf or dumb in the first place? Maybe there is a way to re-establish the health balance?

Again, serious detective work will be necessary, as for 10 blind people, there can be 10 different combinations of causes.

What regards blindness, depending on its severity, all therapies based on the Bates' method are worth trying: it is a mix of eye muscle relaxation exercises and vision exercises. Even better is if you are also able to identify and reverse the psychological factors behind the disease.

C) Babies born with diseases

Many people will argue that if adults choose bad health habits and get sick, it is their own fault; but what about babies and very young children, they didn't even get a chance to make it right? It is a very good question.

We wish we had answers to everything, but we do not (yet :-).

Healfi's current view on babies born with diseases is that most of the time, the parents' relationship might not be very good or they are not leading healthy lifestyles.

It is also possible that Mother Nature wants to teach us something. Now it is up to all of us to find out what that message is and to look for answers so that:

  • it does not happen again or
  • we find ways to treat the babies so that they get healthy quickly.

Healfi's firm belief is that humankind is not supposed to suffer, and we will soon find the answers needed.

D) Missing members

In this case we do not believe that it makes a big difference whether the missing members are from birth or due to an accident.

Some research has been done in this area trying to find Nature's secrets: we know that salamanders are able to grow back missing members naturally. How do they do that? And why doesn't it work for humans or most other animals? Well, this is not completely true: if a child under the age of 11 has its finger top cut off, it re-grows naturally!

What regards salamanders, research showed that the animal's electric and nervous systems somehow carried the information necessary to "rebuild" the missing member.

Researchers were even able to have rats' legs re-grow partially. But they were not able to perfectly solve what they call the "secret of life".

You can read more about this research in "Body Electric" by Robert O. Becker.

This research was done in the 1970's and you might wonder what has happened since then. And why you have never heard of these amazing research results? Because of the inherent corruption in most government and industry-backed research institutes.

A honest professor/researcher who want to research areas that are not in line with the "old school" ego or whose research threaten industrial profits, will very quickly be out of funds and jeopardise his career if he continues being very innovative.

So the innovation rate in most research institutes is so poor simply because of politics and money. Very sad but a fact.

E) Alzheimer

The tricky part with Alzheimer is that it is difficult to communicate properly with the person, and to teach him everything he needs to know about a balanced lifestyle.

So it is up to the person's relatives to go through the Healfi approach and try and figure out the real causes of why this person has got Alzheimer and what is needed for a balanced lifestyle.

Maybe it is enough to just give the person proper nutrition?

Or to just take out the person more often in nature? Or to have the person do some brain gymnastics? Or to get more sun? Or all of the above?

Instead of looking for a magical pill, researchers could analyse communities where Alzheimer is inexistent and find out what the differences in lifestyle are.

F) Mental Disabilities

This category goes most of the time into "babies born with diseases"; due to the difficulty to communicate with mentally disabled persons, this issue is especially tricky. We must admit that we for the moment have no clue on how to resolve it.

But we have not done any research at all about this and we are sure that by spending some time in bookstores and on the Internet, we should be able to find some leads.

Maybe a solution already exists, but for some reason has not reached the big public. Or maybe you will only find small hints and leads that you will need to puzzle together to find the solution.
