Lesson 2: The Healfi Approach


In this first "real" lesson, we want to explain the essence of the Healfi approach. But first of all, let us place Healfi in its context: Healfi is a complement to existing solutions:

  • Preventive health --> Healfi

  • Non-urgent and chronic diseases --> alternative medicine + Healfi

  • Urgent diseases / accidents --> modern medicine


Why is this approach so unique and powerful?

1. One single approach

The most powerful feature of the Healfi approach is probably that it is one and the same approach not only for any health issue you might have, but even more importantly, the same approach can be used in a preventive way to help you avoid future diseases.

So whether you have back pain, feel good, have knee problems, want to loose weight, or just feel down, the approach is ALWAYS the same.


2. Focus on health, not sickness

In contrast to most other "health care" approaches, Healfi focuses on the mindset and lifestyle needed for optimal health. Your specific sickness symptoms are most of the time irrelevant. We check where you have come out of balance, try and tackle or remove the real underlying causes of your illness, and put you back on a healthy track.


3. Focus on prevention

Healfi is focusing as much as possible on prevention. We know that all the knowledge to stay perfectly healthy already exists. Healfi has done its best to gather a lot of this knowledge to guide you on your path to health.

Similar to the ancient Chinese doctors, our aim is to keep you healthy, not "repairing" you when you get off track. So this course focuses on teaching you how to drive and maintain you "car"so that it will not end up in the "garage" or on the "car dump".


4. Looking for the underlying causes, not the physical symptoms

This point is extremely important for you to understand: if you only treat the symptoms of an illness (like the medical industry tends to do), the pain WILL come back sooner or later, in the same or in another form, often worse.

On the other hand, if you tackle or get rid of the real underlying cause of your sickness, it will not appear again. This course wants to teach you how to recognise the real underlying causes of any symptom.

Let's take an example: you have 10 people going to the doctor with exactly the same symptom:
- the classic medical approach is to give these ten people the same pill or treatment
- the Healfi approach is to find out the real underlying cause for each of theses persons, which means that you will most probably end up with 10 different solutions.

In lesson 4, we will go much further into detail explaining through various examples how you identify underlying causes of a health issue.


5. A broader view of health

Most people think that if they get nutrition and exercise right, they will live happily ever after. It is true that nutrition and exercise are vital factors, but there are so many other factors that come into play and influence your health in positive or negative ways.

Healfi teaches you to be more aware of all these factors and proposes a "buffet" of things that you can undertake to influence your health in positive ways.


6. Balance

There is not one solution fits all when it comes to health. We believe that you should strive for some kind of balance in life. This balance will look very different from one person to the next and like there are no magical pills, there is no magical recipe to follow for optimal health: it is up to each individual to find her own balance. It is a personal creative process.

Healfi thinks that it would be good to balance the 12 points of its approach, and believes that it is more important to strive for a good average than to have extremes in one or the other.

Especially, we think that it is dangerous to ignore points where you are weak. You cannot sweep your problems under the carpet, you need to take care of them, find solutions.

Your subconscious registers everything, and you cannot fool your subconscious. If you try to ignore your problems, your subconscious will nag you until you get sick or handle the problem. It is up to you.


7. Structure

An important feature of the Healfi approach is its simple and clear structure that makes it very easy to find potential causes of a health issue or just to find inspiration for a healthy life.


8. Simple language

Healfi tries to use a language that is as simple as possible. We want to avoid complicated biological, anatomical or medical language that has no daily use.


9. Taking responsibility

First of all, only you can know what is best for your health. You can listen to advice from your husband, your politicians, your doctor, your boss, your advertiser or your dog. But you need to take the final decision of what is right for you and your health.

It is a question of character: either you are behind the wheel driving through your life, or somebody else is and you will end up at places where you do not want to be... and the road will probably be much shorter...


10. Guiding you to find your own answers

Nobody can tell you what is right for you (heard that before? You will hear it again!). Healfi's job is to inspire and guide you to find your own solutions.

How?

  1. By helping you make a diagnosis of your current state of health (lesson 7).
  2. By helping you set up your own health goals (lesson 8).
  3. By supporting you with various tools (lesson 9).

As you go through this course, you will have many questions popping up and your mama or your boss will not always be there to answer them, so we have built a specific lesson that should help you find your own answers (lesson 5).

So these are the main ten points where we think the Healfi approach can bring additional value to all other products, services or pills you can find on the market today.
